Annual Gathering

The ANNUAL GATHERING is usually held on the first weekend of October when, in addition to the AGM and Dinner, there is an opportunity to explore and find out about the surrounding area. Except for the AGM itself, the meeting is open to everyone attending the Gathering.

The GATHERING is usually held in a small hotel, at times the Association has had sole occupancy dependant on numbers, and the venue moves around various parts of the UK (for a list of recent venues see below) to avoid some members always having to have a long journey.

The approximate format for the weekend is as follows:

       15.30 onwards       Arrival & registration

Evening                 Members get together for an informal dinner and a catch up in the bar

Breakfast followed by a chance to explore the area or relax with friends

A Committee Meeting is usually held during the morning

       11.30           Coffee

       12.30           Buffet Lunch

13.30           Welcome and Introduction by Association Chairman

13.45           This is followed by a number of talks presentations by local experts or Association members with a "story" to tell.  Followed by a cup of tea and a Question and Answer session with our speakers.
